TextileWaVE is an initiative that joins scientists, stakeholders from the textile industry (designers and manufacturers) and waste managers with the purpose of implementing the organic valorisation of cellulose-based textile waste, outlined and promoted by eco-design principles.

Optimised composting processes for cellulose-based textile waste and a compostability score that can be integrated into the product’s digital passport are envisioned. This project will be supported by national funds from the Foundation for Science and Technology, I.P., and the European Regional Development Fund obtained through MPr-2023-12.
